gdb to at91eb40 (Angel 1.04): Value being assigned to is no longer active.

Olivier Kaloudoff-2
Hello,

  can someone tell what is going on wrong with the following ?

:~/Desktop/arm kalou$ /usr/local/bin/arm-elf-gdb redboot_RAM.elf
GNU gdb 6.4

This GDB was configured as "--host=powerpc-apple-darwin6.8 --target=arm-elf"...

(gdb) tar rdi /dev/tty.KeySerial1
Angel Debug Monitor (serial) 1.04 (Advanced RISC Machines SDT 2.11a) for
AT91EB0x (1.01)
Angel Debug Monitor rebuilt on Sep 14 1998 at 14:52:22
Serial Rate:   9600
Connected to ARM RDI target.

(gdb) set $cpsr=0xd3
Value being assigned to is no longer active.

(gdb) set debug remote 1
(gdb) set debug frame 1
(gdb) set $cpsr=0xd3
{ frame_register_unwind (frame=-1,regnum=25(cpsr),...) -> *optimizedp=0
*lvalp=2 *addrp=0xa4 *bufferp=[10000000] }
{ frame_id_p (l={!stack,!code,!special}) -> 0 }
Value being assigned to is no longer active.

Should I try to update Angel ?

Olivier

I doubt it.  It doesn't look like an Angel or RDP problem to me.

It's also not an eCos problem.

You should ask on the gdb mailing list.
