bad breakpoint number at or near 'main'

TheElder777
hello all. i am using linux ubuntu... after compiling some code with gcc (with -g flag) and running it with gdb, i get the follow error message whenever i try to disassemble main() function:
warning: bad breakpoint number at or near 'main'
i get this error with ALL programs!!! i'm not sure why?? any help would be great... thanks

p.s: i don't know if this will help but the last thing i remember doing that might have caused this is setting a breakpoint in strcpy();... i used the delete keyword in gdb to delete all breakpoints but no luck. i also think that this isn't the issue because i have compiled programs without the strcpy() func and then used gdb but still i get the same warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
